President

As President of Moment of Peace Adventures, I am proud to be part of an organization that has been changing lives since I joined in 2018. Our mission is simple but meaningful. We give kids facing serious health challenges the chance to step away from everything they are dealing with and enjoy a hunting or fishing trip where they can just be kids. These trips are about more than the outdoors. They create lasting memories, build confidence, and give families something positive to hold onto during difficult times.

This mission is deeply personal to me. As a stage 4 cancer survivor, I understand what it means to face adversity and how important it is to have moments that bring peace and a sense of normalcy. I have also been fortunate to build lifelong friendships with families through this organization who stood by me and supported me when I got sick in 2021. That experience drives my commitment to this organization and to every child we serve. I believe even a short time in the outdoors can make a lasting impact, and I am honored to help provide that opportunity for others.

Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing these adventures and expanding our reach so we can help even more kids and families experience the peace and joy that comes from time spent outdoors.

Vice President

My name is Sherry Whitmoyer, and I’ve been part of this organization for over 15 years. Our connection to Moment of Peace Adventures began when our son Austin had the opportunity to go on a trip through the organization, which showed our family just how meaningful these experiences can be. As Vice President of Moment of Peace Adventures, I’m proud to help carry that mission forward by giving children facing serious health challenges the chance to step away from everything they are dealing with and enjoy a hunting or fishing trip where they can just be kids. These trips go far beyond the outdoors, creating lasting memories, building confidence, and giving families something positive to hold onto during difficult times.

Secretary

My name is Kathleen Yarish, and my family was first introduced to Moment of Peace Adventures when my son, Joseph, went on a trip through the organization. Seeing the impact that experience had on our family showed me how meaningful these moments can be for children facing difficult challenges. I’m proud to be part of an organization that gives kids the chance to enjoy the outdoors, create lasting memories, and experience moments of peace when they need them most.
